Out of the Wings 2017 saw the first-ever public reading of William Gregory’s translation of Cuzco by Víctor Sánchez Rodríguez. Two years later, the play opened in full production at Theatre503, directed and co-produced by OOTW member Kate O’Connor.
From the rehearsal room of that production, Kate talks here about how her involvement with Out of the Wings led to her discovering the play and how collaboration with its members helped enrich the process of rehearsing it for a UK audience at one of London’s best-known new writing venues.
Kate O'Connor "Out of the Wings is not just about finding texts and translating them but also about opening up a space to explore them in greater depth with writer, translator and practitioners” Listen to director Kate O'Connor speak about her experience working with Out of the Wings.
