This past weekend Out of the Wings members Kate Eaton and Rosa Andujar were in New York celebrating the great work of Cuban playwright Virgilio Piñera, centred around Kate's new translation of Electra Garrigó. After a staged reading of the play directed by Leyma López at Barnard College, they spoke about the play and its context as well as the new forthcoming translation which will be published by Routledge in September, as part La Puerta Electra / The Electra Door: A Bilingual Anthology of Cuban Rewritings of Greek Tragedy, which was edited by Rosa, Kate and Yoandy Cabrera. The anthology also features new translations by Out of the Wings members Catherine Boyle, William Gregory and Rachel Toogood.

This past weekend Out of the Wings members Kate Eaton and Rosa Andujar were in New York celebrating the great work of Cuban playwright Virgilio Piñera, centred around Kate's new translation of Electra Garrigó.
